Aerating a lawn is an important part of keeping it green and healthy. If the yard is neglected and this was to happen, the grass will be unhealthy and turn yellow or brown. It would develop bare patches and would be prone to disease or pests. This problem won’t disappear by simply ignoring it. No matter how much watering or mowing you’d do, it won’t help if the nutrients don’t get to reach your grass.
